	This triangular bed was added to an existing garden. A central water feature is made from a glazed ceramic sphere resting in a bed of large cobbles. Water bubbles out of the top of the sphere in the centre of the bed and trickles down its sides into the surrounding stones. The bed is planted with grasses and grass-like plants. A mulch of gravel and pebbles covers the soil.

	Technical A plastic reservoir is sunk into the centre of the bed. A 24V pump is concealed within the sump and feeds water via a flexible hose to a brass outlet in the top of the sphere. Water runs back into the reservoir and is recirculated. The system only needs topping up to allow for evaporation. A transformer in the house provides a safe 24V supply which is taken under the patio, via a cable in a conduit, to the pump.
